MyWish Platform Token Sale

MyWish Platform Token Sale
Digital Experts worked as part of MyWish's marketing team: strategic consulting on functionality and positioning, packaging of the service, the platform and the ICO campaign, social media and vendor oversight. The project grew from the digital-will service LastWill into a full-cycle smart contract platform with the "Joule" system and raised more than $2,500,000 on a minimal ad budget.

About the project

As part of the marketing team, we helped the project raise $2,500,000.

The Digital Experts team ran strategic consulting on the platform's functionality and positioning, market analysis and identifying the product's competitive advantages.

We packaged the service, the platform and the ICO campaign, ensured the project's presence on social media, and handled selection and oversight of promotion vendors.

How we did it

1

Reworked the project's positioning to fit the changing market.

Result: New positioning
2

Put the campaign's unique feature front and center — one that solved a real problem in working with smart contracts.

Result: Key value proposition
3

Dropped the ICO website and built a full product package.

Result: Product website
4

Helped select vendors and staffed a community manager.

Result: Successful ICO

Marketing the MyWish ICO campaign

With our help, the project grew from the digital-will service LastWill into a full-scale infrastructure project that raised its target of more than two and a half million dollars, on a minimal ad budget.

Tools and solutions

The decentralized "Joule" system

When the team was building their product, they ran into a limitation of the smart contract on Ethereum. A smart contract is code recorded on the Ethereum blockchain.

A smart contract can't execute itself, can't call itself, and can't verify that its conditions have been met.

Note

Ethereum doesn't solve this problem, because it's a framework, not a ready-made solution. The MyWish team solved this limitation by building a call-and-verify system called "Joule."

Positioning

We proposed decentralizing the team's "Joule" call-and-verify system for smart contracts and positioning it as a key competitive advantage.

The idea of decentralization gave rise to another valuable feature of the platform. For the whole system to work, its participants need an incentive.

The team came up with an elegant solution: verifying a smart contract pays out a token reward. That way, the system's operation is sustained by the community, independent of the MyWish company itself — in the spirit of the blockchain community's core values.

The platform as an infrastructure project

As a result, the platform is positioned as a full-cycle solution — no such solution existed on the market at the time.
